The 17-year-old is set to complete his move to the Spanish capital in 2019, but will continue his development at Brazilian club Flamengo for now.
When asked about how he feels about such a life changing move, Vinicius said: “I'm quite relaxed about it, I'm not really thinking too much about the moment when I'll leave just yet."
He may be young, but the forward has already experienced a fair amount of criticism from the media, something he tries not to let let influence his performance on the pitch.
“It never bothers me. I know my own potential, I know how far I can go. I'm going to work hard for Flamengo as I promised to do. Whoever we play, I'll work hard so that my mind will be at rest,” he added.
Vinicius also revealed who he speaks to in the current Real ranks, which surprisingly didn't include manager Zinedine Zidane.
"I haven't spoken to Zidane. I talk to Marcelo, Casemiro and Danilo. Whenever I have a good game, Marcelo sends me a text message. I'm in contact with them quite a lot.”
To wrap up the interview, the young talent was asked if he had had any contact with Cristiano Ronaldo, to which he jokingly replied: “Not yet, I'm still waiting!”
