A huge summer saw superstars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe arrive in the French capital, but the powers that be at the club are continuing to plan ahead.
Despite PSG having won nine of their ten games in all competitions so far this season, the board are seemingly not completely satisfied with Emery's work, with reports claiming that PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has already chosen the club's next boss.
'TOP Mercato' reports that PSG hope to raid Ligue 1 champions Monaco once again to bring manager Leonardo Jardim to the club when Emery's time in Paris comes to an end.
Jardim built a stunning reputation for himself last season by guiding a dynamic, young Monaco side to the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League semi-finals with some breathtaking displays of incisive, attacking football.
Those feats caught the eye of the PSG board, not least because it was they who were beaten to the title by the Monegasques.
Monaco's success in Europe was the most appealing factor though, with PSG desperate to get their hands on the Champions League crown sooner rather than later.
Obtaining Jardim's services will be no mean feat though, with the Venezuelan having only recently signed a contract extension tying him to Monaco until 2020.
Would Jardim be a good choice for PSG?
