Ronaldo finds himself one goal behind Pele as the all-time top scorer at the Club World Cup. If the Real Madrid star manages to score in Saturday's final against Gremio, he will be on the same number of goals as a legend.
'O Rei' was in no doubt when he was asked who the best player in the world is at the moment: "Two years ago I gave the Ballon d'Or to Cristiano Ronaldo. I think today there's no doubt the best player, the best scorer, the best forward is Cristiano Ronaldo."
Pele also said the Portuguese striker was deserving of his fifth Ballon d'Or trophy for his stats across the season. The three-time World Cup winner opted for CR7 over Lionel Messi, Ronaldo's main competitor.
