Valencia: Star man Gonçalo Guedes returns to the squad but he is likely to be forced to settle for a place on the bench as Valencia try to avoid rushing the winger back into action ahead of time.
Barcelona: Defender Gerard Pique has been named in the squad for the game, despite complaining of discomfort in his right knee towards the end of the 1-1 draw with Espanyol in the league at the weekend. Fellow defender Thomas Vermaelen and forward Ousmane Dembele both remain sidelined with hamstring injuries, though the latter could return to training next week.
Valencia boss Marcelino:
"We are expecting a long game, a very tough game, and hopefully after the 90 minutes we will be able to say that we are in a Copa del Rey final.
"Emotionally, it is going to be an intense game, but we need to play with our heads and our hearts. We have to be clever. If we don’t defend well, we won’t go through. I am asking the fans to help us defend.
"We should be humble, because we know that we don’t have a team that can dominate Barcelona for 90 minutes. Our plan is to defend well, but to attack better than in the first leg and get into the final stages with the possibility of going through. I prefer to avoid extra time.”
Barca boss Ernesto Valverde:
"Taking into account the offensive potential that Valencia have and playing in Mestalla, I have the feeling that to get through we will have to score.
“The fact that it is a semi-final means there will be motivation from the start.
“Each team will be loyal to their style and they are a team who are difficult to break down and quick on the counterattack.”
