Alvaro Morata is not having the best time at Chelsea at the moment. In last two Premier League matches, the Spanish striker has been out of the starting line-up and has lost the spark he had at the beginning of the season.
As if that were not enough, Morata has not yet managed to score in 2018. The last time was on December 26, 2017, when he scored in the match against Brighton.
Since then, Morata's form has been declining little by little to the point that he is now viewed as a regular substitute. Even in the Champions League, where Chelsea have pinned their hopes, he hasn't featured much either.
What's more, in the first leg of their last-16 clash against Barcelona, he barely played a leading role. Conte brought him on in the 83rd minute and so he had little time to do damage to 'Los Cules'.
For the return fixture on Wednesday, tt is likely that the Italian coach will use a system similar to the first, with Hazard utilised as a 'false No. 9' and Willian as the mobile threat.
If true, it means Morata must wait for his chance, if he has one, from the bench.
